Cambridge Students Contribute to Historic Medal Success for GB Cross Country.

Two current Cambridge Students and one recent Alumnus helped a GB students team win a historic five medals at the World University Cross Country Championships held in Muscat, Oman on 17-18 February.

Nancy Scott (alumnus), Phoebe Barker and Jeremy Dempsey (both final year students) all qualified to represent the GB student team by excellent performances in Cross Country races during the season.

In Oman, Nancy Scott and Phoebe Barker finished 6th and 9th respectively helping GB Students Women’s Team to win the Women’s Overall Team Gold. For Phoebe Barker this added further medals to her individual Silver won at the BUCS Cross Country championship and the Women’s team bronze.

Jeremy Dempsey carried on his strong performances this season and finished an impressive 22nd in the Long Course race, helping the Men's team achieve a Bronze medal.
