Sports Club Grants
University Sports Clubs who register with the Sports Service are able to apply for grant funding based on criteria recommended by the Cambridge University Student Sport Advisory Group (CUSSAG). Applications are assessed by Sports Service professional staff with final sign off by the Sports Committee.
Due to the increase in Sport Clubs registering with the Sport Service and a result of consultation with the Cambridge University Student Sports Advisory Group in 2023-24, there has been a change to the process of the grant timeline to University Sports Clubs:
- Two grant windows will operate with different application, review, and sign off deadlines
- Clubs have been allocated into different phases, should a club wish to move to an alternative window they can request to do so by emailing Grants@sport.cam.ac.uk

For 2024-25, the Sports Club grant and resource application process shall once again take place via the University of Cambridge Sport Moodle course page: www.vle.cam.ac.uk. The electronic application form can be found under the ‘Grant and Resource Application’ section, and you are encouraged to save your application regularly when completing so as to avoid losing any work.

Extraneous Grant
Should any unexpected expenditure arise at any point after the grant application process, clubs are encouraged to get in contact with the Sports Service as soon as possible to discuss any potential support that may be possible. Examples may include, but are not limited to; BUCS competition progression, additional coaching opportunities, equipment failure, and response to safety concerns.
Resource Application Process
The resource application process opens in March. Resource Offer Letters will be sent to all current clubs with Sport Service facility bookings. Resource application guidance can be found on the Grants Moodle page here
