Eton Fives Club
Eton Fives is frequently described as “squash with your hands”, although it gets much more exciting than that! Started by schoolboys against the side of a chapel, it has now evolved into a fast-paced and unpredictable game played by clubs across the country.
The focus of the club is to have fun, with training twice a week at the sports centre. However, there are also lots of opportunities to play competitively, including the Varsity match in Lent term. There are also numerous socials, which contribute to a friendly and close-knit atmosphere.
No prior experience is needed - in fact, most players only pick it up at university, meaning everyone starts at the same level. Members are free to decide what they want from the club, whether it’s a relaxing hit with your friends or a chance to play competitively. We welcome all players, including undergraduates, postgraduates and staff.
