The Active Staff programme provides opportunities for staff to enjoy being active and lead a healthy lifestyle.

We’re now offering a number of group exercise classes around the University, bringing the sessions to you. Classes are free to attend for all university staff and last around 45 minutes.
We've got a variety of classes across Cambridge West, Central Cambridge and the Biomedical Campus. Classes currently include Yoga, Pilates, Resistance Bands, Yogalates, Stretch & Mobility and are designed to be suitable for all levels.

Cambridge University is home to historic and remarkable sports facilities. This spring, we're delighted to invite staff to make the most of them. Available to all staff are our Learn to Play and Social Coached Sessions, offering something for everyone across 12 different sports.
Led by expert coaches and hosted at iconic Cambridge venues, from Fenner's Tennis and Cricket Ground to the University Sports Centre, these sessions are your chance to enjoy your place of work in a whole new way.

Band together with colleagues and compete in our department-based* sports leagues. If your department doesn't have a team yet, don't let that stop you. We have several new teams looking for extra players.

Join the University indoor football league, played weekly at the University Sports Centre during term time. Games take place on Tuesday lunchtimes between 12–2pm, with kick-off slots at 12:00pm, 12:40pm, or 1:20pm — one game per week per team. |

Cam Run is an exciting 2.5km loop on the Cambridge West Site. Cam Run – Cam Run is quickly becoming a favourite. Staff set off from the Sports Centre - running, jogging, and walking their way around our scenic, pedestrian-friendly 2.5k loop through Cambridge West.
Cam Run is for all - whether you’re aiming to complete one or two laps, you’re looking to time yourself, or just complete your daily exercise – come join us for a fun community event.
The monthly Cam Runs are taking place on 30th October, 27th November and 18th December, all starting at 12.30pm. Book you place now on the Cam Uni Sport App.
The University Sports Centre continues to offer excellent facilities at discounted rates for University of Cambridge Staff. Our Cambridge Sport memberships include access to the Gym, Strength & Conditioning Room, Team Training Room, Group Exercise Classes, Badminton Courts, Fives Courts, Squash Courts, Athletics Track and discounted rates on the new Padel Courts. You can purchase your Cambridge Sport membership on the Sports Service website.
Flexi Pass - Exclusively available for University of Cambridge Staff
If you like the idea of a membership but worried it doesn’t fit with your hybrid working pattern, we’re pleased to introduce the Cambridge Sport Flexi Pass. The Flexi Pass offers all the same great benefits as a normal membership but on a usage basis. For just £60, you can redeem any of the 10 sessions against any of the membership benefits. You can purchase a flexi pass on the Sports Service website.
We're pleased to offer a mobile health check service. These health checks are designed to give you focus and direction with your training and exercise routines.
The Health Checks measure, Blood Pressure, Resting Heart Rate, Oxygen Saturation, Peak Flow, Grip Strength, Body Composition, Blood Glucose*, Cholesterol (including HDL & LDL)*.
Every health check comes with the opportunity to discuss your results and explore opportunities to improve health through effective exercise.
Health Checks start at £25 and are offered at multiple venues across the University including the Sports Centre, Eddington, Student Services and the West Hub.
