Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS)
TASS helps talented athletes balance their sport and their studies. Cambridge is proud to be a TASS Delivery Site.
Sport England backs the scheme. It brings together student athletes, universities, and sports bodies to support promising young athletes in the country. Each year, hundreds of student-athletes benefit from support delivered by expert practitioners at universities across England.
Who can apply?
TASS is open to talented athletes in higher or further education across England. To be eligible, you must:
- Be enrolled at a university or college in England
- Be nominated by your National Governing Body (NGB)
- Compete at a high level in your sport
Eligibility is decided by your NGB, not by Cambridge. Contact your NGB directly to find out if you qualify.
What support is available?
As a TASS athlete, you can access:
- Lifestyle support
- Physiotherapy
- Nutrition advice
- Strength and conditioning
- Sports psychology
- A private medical scheme (TASS Medical Scheme and Bupa Healthy Minds)
