TASS Dual Career Accreditation
Cambridge Sports Service is accredited by the TASS Dual Career Accreditation Scheme. This means we are recognised for how we support student-athletes to balance sport and study.
What is dual career accreditation?
The scheme is backed by Sport England. It recognises universities and colleges that help young athletes pursue their sport without having to give up their education or personal development.
Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson referenced it in her Duty of Care in Sport Review (April 2017). She said:
"I believe we have a duty to help young people achieve their potential, whilst prioritising their welfare, wellbeing and education. For the vast majority of athletes, skills and formal qualifications are needed to help them find alternative careers. For me, the TASS Dual Career Accreditation Scheme is a vital way to ensure all athletes have the chance to pursue an education."
Support for your studies
As a student-athlete at a TASS Dual Career Accredited Site, you may be able to:
- Access online notes or resources if you miss sessions
- Arrange catch-up sessions with teaching staff
- Reschedule deadlines or exam dates in exceptional circumstances
Staff at accredited sites also receive training and resources to help them support you well.

It is recognised globally as a leader in dual career support, working with and advising bodies including the IOC and the EU.
