University of Cambridge Sports Centre

The Sports Service is based at the University of Cambridge Sports Centre in West Cambridge.

Parking

Free parking for Sports Centre users is available in the Main Car Park at the top of Philippa Fawcett Drive, on the opposite side of the road.

The car park is barrier-controlled.
Check the CamUniSport app for the current entry code.

Time Limit

Stay for up to 3 hours. This car park is for Sports Centre users only, and overstays will incur a penalty.

Overflow and long-stay parking

Overflow space is available in Car Park 8. Find the entry code on the CamUniSport app.
Please use Car Park 8 if you need to stay longer than 3 hours.

Reserved Bays

The bays along the front of the Sports Centre are reserved for Physioteq customers, named visitors, or blue badge holders only.

Event Car Parking

For events, the barrier at Car Park 8 (see map above) will be lifted for entry.
Coaches and minivans: Please drop off passengers on Charles Babbage Road, then park at the Madingley Road Park & Ride.

Other modes of transport

By Bike

Cycle along Burrell's Walk (past the University Library), then continue onto Adams Road and along the Coton Footpath. It's a 10-minute ride from the city centre, and the quickest, easiest way to reach us.

By Foot

Walk the same route as the bike route above. It takes around 30 minutes (1.5 miles) from the city centre.

By Bus

Take the Universal bus to the West Cambridge site. It runs Monday to Friday, 7am to 8pm (excluding bank holidays), and Saturday 8am to 7pm.

University Exam Times

The University of Cambridge Sports Centre hosts University exams during May and June each year.

During this time, the Strength & Conditioning room, Studios, Fives Courts, Squash Courts, and Team Training room will be closed during some hours of the day.
The affected hours will be listed here in advance of the closures.
