Polo Club

Polo is a dynamic, mixed-gender equestrian sport. Founded in 1873, Cambridge University Polo Club is the second-oldest polo club in the world. Today, we're a thriving club based in the fields just outside Cambridge, welcoming riders of every level through competitive, leisure, and social memberships.

Members train weekly with professional coaches at our home ground, Cambridge Polo Club, and play regular fixtures against other universities and clubs. Our annual Varsity match against Oxford, established in 1878, is the oldest continuing polo fixture in the world and is now played at the iconic Guards Polo Club.

Prior riding experience is a plus but not required. Our membership is open to all members of the University and comprises a diverse and inclusive group of ambitious and motivated individuals, from handicapped players to those who've never sat on a horse. Come and give it a try!
