Hillwalking Club
Cambridge University Hillwalking Club is the University's friendliest and most active outdoors society, travelling to mountainous regions across the UK for hiking, scrambling, fell/trail running, camping, and wild swimming. We aim to be an entry point to anything outdoors-related, catering to a range of abilities: from those who just want to enjoy a weekend in the mountains, to aspiring mountaineers and fell runners.
We run three trips a term at reasonably low cost to the Lake District, Snowdonia, the Brecons, the Dales, and more, plus longer vacation trips to Scotland (e.g. Glen Coe, Skye, the Cairngorms). Trips are a great way for members to develop outdoor skills; we also run skill-specific courses in first aid, navigation, scrambling and winter skills.
Everyone is welcome to join, that includes undergraduates, postgraduates, staff, and even those resident in Cambridge who aren't affiliated with the University.
