Studying: Master of Management at the Cambridge University Judge Business School 

Ryan explains below in his own words why he came to Cambridge and how he benefited from UCAPP. 

"One of the key reasons I chose to pursue my Master’s at Cambridge was the opportunity to challenge myself both academically and athletically. Competing in the Varsity Match against Oxford , a lifelong goal of mine and one of rugby’s most historic rivalries, was an unforgettable experience. Being part of the largest comeback victory in the rivalry’s history made it all the more special. It was an incredible honor to follow in the footsteps of so many great internationals and Olympians who have worn the Light Blue.

Through the University of Cambridge Athlete Performance Programme (UCAPP), I was also able to tailor my training to Olympic-level standards. Under the guidance of coach Josh Nye, I made major strides in speed, agility, and explosiveness. These gains helped earn my recent call-up to the USA Men’s National Rugby 7s Team for the World Series legs in Singapore and Los Angeles.

I will now return to San Diego to rejoin the national team as I continue working toward LA 2028. None of this would have been possible without the outstanding support from CURUFC and UCAPP."
