What sports can I play at Cambridge?

If you know what sport you want to do and want to compete for Cambridge, please see below a list of clubs that have competitive fixtures, either in BUCS, local leagues and in Varsity Matches.

There are 77 sports clubs at Cambridge, with around half offering beginner sessions where no previous experience is necessary. Some clubs are best to sign up to at the start of the year at the Sports Fair, but many clubs will accept new members all year round. Use the Sports Club Guide below to get in contact!

College sport

College sport is a relaxed and informal way to try a new activity or play the sport you love at a recreational or recreationally competitive level. It is a great way to get involved with your college community, have fun, be healthy, and meet people from other colleges. You can also compete for your college in leagues, events and other competitions, with everything from badminton to ultimate frisbee on offer.

Want to get involved? Contact collegesport@sport.cam.ac.uk.

Give it a Go

Our Give it a Go sessions are open to anyone, and we particularly encourage beginners to come along. All equipment is provided for all the sessions, a session leader will be on hand to help you develop your skills, and it's a great way to meet new people, have fun and learn a new skill.
