Cambridge Sport Activator: Volunteering
Become a Cambridge Sport Activator and help fellow students build healthier, more active lifestyles.
Want to make a real difference to student life at Cambridge? As a Sport Activator, you'll help other students discover the benefits of sport and physical activity. You'll also gain valuable experience along the way.
Sport Activators play a hands-on role. You'll help run and promote Cambridge Sport's programmes, from beginner-friendly sessions to recreational leagues and college events.
Why sport matters
The evidence is clear. Regular physical activity has a powerful impact on student life. Research shows that playing sport, especially in groups, improves mental health. It also boosts self-esteem, reduces stress, and helps students feel more connected to others.
"Students who participate in sport regularly achieve a Good Honours compared to the whole student body." (Brunton et al., 2020)
As an Activator, you'll help build a healthier, more active community at Cambridge.
