About Us
Cambridge University Hare and Hounds (CUH&H) dates back to pre-1870 making it one of the oldest running clubs in the world. The university running club provides regular training, competition and a great social scene for all standards. Whether an easy jogger, university runner, or even international athlete, there's something for you, so come along and get involved.
In addition to the Blues Varsity, we have a II-IV teams Varsity which takes place in late November with the Ladies' 3rds and mens' 4th teams of unlimited size and open to all members. After Varsity our main competition is BUCS Cross Country, held in February. Members also compete in national and area championships for their home clubs or CUH&H.
Though primarily a cross-country running club (especially in the winter months), we cater for all aspects of running. In the spring and summer, most of our athletes focus on the track and compete for Cambridge University Athletic Club (CUAC), in middle and long distance track events. Our members also take part in many other disciplines such as road running (including marathons), fell running, orienteering, and triathlon.
