Women's Ice Hockey Team Geared Up for Varsity

Cambridge University Womens' Ice Hockey Club (CUWIHC) has dominated the southern division’s league games this year. 2016-17 has been a record breaking season for us and our best on record. We have won all of our games and officially won the league in our most recent game against UCL that finished 26-3. These results should ensure promotion for next season.

This year has seen us take on over 30 newcomers who have shaped up to become some of the strongest members of our squad. Our players consistently rank in the highest for points in our division, with special mention to Catherine Dobson, Aimee Neaverson, Rebecca Haboucha and Adelice Kramer for their points tallies this season. Everybody's enthusiasm and dedication to the sport has really paid off with the players benefiting from increased fitness sessions, off ice theory, go pro footage review sessions and new roller practice sessions at the university sports centre.

It is with a fantastic season and intense training under our belt that we are now looking forward to hosting the Varsity Match at our home rink in Peterborough on Sunday 5th of March. We are confident we will achieve yet another win - this time over Oxford!

Come experience the exhilirating and incredibly fast-paced and tactical game in person on Sunday 5th March! Tickets are available here.
