NEW: University of Cambridge Sport High Performance Athlete Profiles
Over the next few weeks, we will be introducing you to the 2019/20 cohort of athletes being supported within our performance sport programmes. High performance athletes at Cambridge are supported by two programmes:
The University of Cambridge Athlete Performance Programme (UCAPP) has been established to offer high performance athletes at undergraduate or postgraduate level the opportunity of a professional and co-ordinated support services network in order to improve their performance as an athlete. The programme was set up thanks to the kind generosity of Mark Hanson (Girton, 1985) who was a Modern Pentathlete during his time at Cambridge.
The Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS) is a national athlete support programme to help talented athletes with balancing the demands of their sport and studies to be the best in both. The University of Cambridge is proud to be a TASS Delivery site,
On Tuesday and Thursday each week we will introduce an individual being supported by one of the above programmes to give you an insight into their sporting and academic background.
Keep an eye on our website to meet the full cohort of supported students.
