CU Squash Rackets Club in the Cambridgeshire County Closed this weekend

In the Cambridgeshire County Closed this weekend CU Squash Rackets Club will be well represented with a number of members contesting the various categories.

Blues captain Luis North is seeded 2 in the Men’s Open and  will be looking to contest his first County Championship final. He will have strong competition from current Blue and CU no. 2, Reuben Morris seeded 3/4, and alumni Matt Lees and Ali Hemingway both seeded in the 5/8 grouping.

Hemingway is also top seed in the Ladies’ Open and is hoping for her fourth consecutive title.

The CU Squash Club is also well represented in some of the other categories. Alumnus Andy Whitham is top seed in the Men’s O55 category, which he has won for the past three years.

In the Men's B Grade, 2nds team player Alfie Lake is 2nd seed, and like North, hoping to contest his first final. Other team members, David Roper and Kendrick To, will be hoping to cause some upsets in the Men's A Grade, and Maddie Walpert has good chances of winning the Women’s B Grade.

Best of luck to all the players.
