All three Cambridge teams qualified for the BUSA (British Universities Sailing Association) Finals from a field of 15 teams at the 2020 Qualifiers event held at Grafham Water Sailing Club last weekend.

Only 11 races were sailed on the Saturday before winds started gusting over 30 knots and caused the abandonment of racing. Sunday saw much better weather and an early (8:57am!) first race start enabled a full programme to be sailed.

The Club passed on their thanks to Karen Thomas, Bryan Ormond and their team of helpers and umpires who worked hard in the face of difficult conditions to make the event a real success.

Congratulations to all our Cambridge sailors on a fantastic performance in these 2020 Qualifiers! The Team Racing Championship Finals will be held on 13 – 15 April 2020 back at Grafham Water SC, and will be hosted by the University of Cambridge.
