About Us
Founded in 1873 Cambridge University Polo Club (CUPC) is the oldest polo club in Europe and lays claim to the oldest continuing polo fixture in the world - The Varsity Polo Match. CUPC is a polo club for undergraduates and postgraduates (primarily), as well as staff and alumni, of the University of Cambridge. CUPC is comprised of a diverse and inclusive group of ambitious and motivated individuals, from all corners of the globe and a broad range of professional and academic disciplines. Proudly sponsor by leading polo brand, La Martina, CUPC caters for players of all levels, from those who have never ridden before to those with a professional handicap. Our typical year includes the following:

• The Atlantic Cup played against Harvard, Yale and Oxford, held in USA/UK in alternating years
• Winter Varsity, played against Oxford but in the arena competition format
• Univesity National Championships
• Matches against Army and Navy teams, typically held at RMA Sandhurst
• Weeklylessonsforallplayinglevels
• Recommendations for optional tournaments and friendly matches, e.g. St Andrews Beach Polo
• Recommendations for optional intensive camps, e.g. some members recently returned from Jurassic Park Polo Club in South Africa
• Active social scene, the highlight of which is our annual white tie Polo Ball
