Tara Morrison, President or Korfball University Korfball Club reports on the Varsity Match held at the University of Cambridge Sports Centre on 16 February
Results (Cambridge - Oxford)
Firsts Match: 13-16
Seconds Match: 6-5
Alumni Match: 8-14
Our Cambridge teams did a fabulous job on Saturday. The seconds shone through, fighting hard to beat Oxford 6-5 in their match. Oxford proved worthy opponents nabbing the next two wins but we didn’t go down without giving them a run for their money.
It was also great to see so many alumni return this year, from both sides. The atmosphere of the entire day was amazing. Both Cambridge and Oxford brought plenty of supporters along and this created a great vibe from start to finish.
Huge thanks to Oxford for being great sports (as usual), to all the Cambridge University Korfball Club members for their enduring positivity and support and to the University of Cambridge Sports Service for all their help in organising and the venue.
