The Sports Centre continues to grow in popularity, and with more visitors than ever before, parking has always been challenging. The current area has only ever been a temporary solution (hence its poor condition) but we’re very pleased to have secured a more permanent and suitable parking area for Sports Centre users. What’s more, the relocation of car parking enables us to push forward with development plans for the space next to the sports centre, starting with the build of two Padel Tennis Courts this summer (subject to planning permission.)
From Monday 10th June, the current temporary area used for parking next to the Sports Centre will be closed. A new car park will be available for Sports Centre users at the top of Philippa Fawcett Drive.
This car park will be limited to a maximum stay of 3 hours. Please note that this area is for sports centre users only and penalties will be invoked for overstays. If you require parking beyond the short stay limit, or if this car park is full, please use Car Park 8 which remains available at all times. The entry code can be found on the Cam Uni Sport App.
The bays along the front of the Sports Centre remain as marked for Physioteq customers, named visitors or those displaying a blue badge only.
Our staff will be on hand to remind users about the new parking arrangements for the first couple of days.
