About Us

CURFC provides a welcoming environment for anyone interested in playing rugby fives who attends the university of Cambridge. We accommodate the full range of abilities, whether you have played for many years or are just looking for something new and fun to try - there will always be people of of a similar level and we are always looking for new players. We generally train twice a week at the university sports centre, which is as casual or intense as you want to make it, and often go for a few drinks after. For those who are more competitive, we participate in matches with other fives club throughout the year. The most important fixture is the annual Varsity match against Oxford, where we field a Men's and Women's team and all players obtain Half Blue awards. Perhaps the best part of the club is the social side of things - there are multiple club dinners and other social events held throughout the year.
