The Henley Boat Races are a series of match races held each Spring between crews from Oxford and Cambridge Universities. Two crews race side-by-side over a course of 2000 metres, from Phyllis Court to Temple Island along the famous 'Henley Reach'.

The race programme has traditionally included men’s and women’s lightweight crews representing Oxford and Cambridge Universities, but this year will be different. In 2019 the 45th contest between the men's crews will take place on the Tideway.

The 36th race between the Women's Lightweights will take place as usual at Henley.
