When and how did you get into sport?

“I got in to playing football around 8 or 9 years old, playing for my primary school team.

- Selection for the England Men’s Deaf Squad and also the Under 21s.

- Finished 3rd at the European Championships for Peterborough Under 21s.

- Currently top scorer for Stamford AFT semi-professional youth team (the Club won the league unbeaten)

What is your advice for balancing sport and academia?

“Organise a timetable of studying, training and personal things to increase organisation and create habits. Know what sort of training you are about to undertake so you can make the most of it for example, circuit, SAQ, strength & conditioning. Avoid training before studying to prevent tiredness during studying.”

What has the support from TASS meant to you?

“TASS has broadened my knowledge through different kinds of training, the importance of nutrition, how psychology can impact me on the pitch, and lifestyle choices I am willing to make. It has helped me become more mindful of all sorts of things than I was before. This also has benefitted me more for competitions such as the World Championships and the Deaflympics as I am aiming to get selected for the England squad in 2021.”
