Ski and Snowboard Society

Cambridge University Ski and Snowboard Society (CUSSC) has a proud heritage as the home of the oldest ski race in history, with our first Varsity match in 1922, two years before the first Winter Olympics. Today, we're a welcoming community for skiers and snowboarders of every level.

Each year we run a preseason trip, usually in August or September, along with land training throughout Michaelmas to keep everyone race-ready. Members can also join the University Varsity ski trip, where our Racing Package sees teams compete in front of over 1,000 spectators. Alongside the competitive side, we host regular social events and dinners throughout the year.

Varsity racing is competitive, with only three teams able to take part, but preseason, land training and our social scene are open to all levels — no experience required. Whether you're an undergraduate, postgraduate, racer or purely social, CUSSC is for you.
