When and how did you get into sport?

“I discovered rowing by watching racing at the London 2012 Olympic Games. Following this, I convinced a friend to join with me and we pushed each other for years. I committed myself to the sport as a sixth former, representing GB at the European Junior Championships.”

 

What are your top sporting achievements?

- Boat Race Victory – 2019

- World Rowing Under-23 Championships gold - 2019

 

What is your advice for balancing sport and academia?

“Always have short-term goals, let the results follow. Enjoy your sport, do it with friends. Sleep always comes first.”

 

What has the support from TASS meant to you?

“TASS gives an external support system, allowing you to become a well-rounded athlete. It brings us into contact with athletes of different sport and thus stimulate inter-disciplinary discussion. TASS funding allows athletes to compete and train internationally.”
