Cambridge University Hare & Hounds Club (Cross-Country)
About Us
The Cambridge University Hare and Hounds (CUH&H) is the university running club which provides regular training, competition and a great social scene for all standards. Whether an easy jogger, university runner, or even international athlete, there's something for you, so come along and get involved. Our main race is the varsity cross country at the end of Michaelmas, but we also compete on road and track throughout the year. Check out our website for details of training, races and socials, and limitless more information about one of the world's oldest cross country clubs!
Training
We have two sessions a week with our coach Phil O’Dell present. These happen on Tuesdays at 3pm (with an evening option available too in normal times) and on Saturdays at 10am. These sessions vary from intervals on the Churchill College fields or the towpath along the River Cam, hill sessions at the Coton hill and track sessions in summer.
On other days there are group runs that leave in the mornings and afternoons that anyone can join! The times if these are announced in the weekly email every Sunday. They meet at St John’s pledge (SJP) and there are usually multiple groups that do their own paces and distances. Sunday Long Run happens in a similar manner, leaving at 10am.
How do I sign up?
