Cambridge University Cheerleading Society

About Us

We are a competitive cheerleading club comprised of two teams who compete in national cheerleading competitions every year under our team name, the Cambridge Cougars. Competitive cheerleading is an exciting and high-intensity sport combining stunting, tumbling, jumps and dance. The Cougars are 8-time Varsity champions against Oxford and both teams consistently place in the top 5 at national university competitions. Our first team competes at Co-ed Level 3 and trains 3 times a week, and our second team competes at All-Girl Level 1 and trains 2 times a week. We also perform at events such as May Balls and Varsities, and post competition season we hold relaxed open sessions and a college Cuppers competition.

We arrange many socials throughout the year, drinking and non drinking, including Formals, Christmas dinner, swaps and movie nights. We are working on ways to carry on having lots of fun and COVID safe socials for this coming year!

Whether you have prior gymnastics, dance or cheer experience, or just want to try something completely new, pop into one of our taster sessions and check out our Facebook, Instagram or website for more updates on how you can get involved!
