Cambridge University Athletic Club
About Us
Cambridge University Athletics Club is the world's oldest athletics club, founded in 1857! We are one of the University's largest sporting societies, and we pride ourselves on the diversity of athletes who make up the club. CUAC is a club for athletes of all abilities - from complete beginners to international competitors. Our main objective is to beat O*ford, the original grudge match. There are three main competitions throughout the year against Oxford specifically: A Fresher's Varsity, Indoor Varsity and May Varsity. The global pandemic has made competitions slightly uncertain, but they have already started up again so we remain hopeful! We also take a large team of athletes to BUCS and compete against all the other universities in the UK. Besides that, there are opportunities to compete from January to October, and you can participate in these as much or as little as you please. CUAC is an incredibly social club, so you can look forward to meetings lots of new, like-minded people. We will be holding taster sessions early on during term, so make sure to follow our social media or sign up to our mailing list to keep updated!
