Many University Sports Clubs have membership categories for University Alumni. To find out what is available in a particular sport visit the Club Webpages.

Alternatively there is a broad range of Community Clubs to suit all ages and abilities. For more information visit the City Council Sports website or contact the PE Officer or Assistant Director who will be happy to give you some advice on what is available in the area.

Capital Investment
The University of Cambridge has identified a number of shortfalls in its provision of sports facilities. Many of these needs will be met by the construction of the proposed Sports Centre at West Cambridge. For more information on the proposed development see our West Cambridge Sports Centre section. Anyone interested in helping the University deliver this project should contact the Director of Physical Education in the first instance.

Watching Sport and Hospitality
All Cambridge University Sports Clubs compete against Oxford each year in a Varsity Match. These matches are hugely competitive and exciting to watch. They also have regular fixtures against other University, Community Clubs, County and, in some cases, national teams. Beyond this, University Sports Facilities regularly host County and Regional competitions. There are also a range of dinners and hospitality events associated with University Fixtures. Our Events Calendar will be updated regularly with fixture information, ticket prices (many events are free) and how to book.
