Junior Groundskeeper (Part-time/Temporary)
Applications are invited for the position of temporary, part-time Junior groundskeeper to work 26 days during the 2012 University cricket season (31 March - 30 August 2012).
The role holder will work under the direction of the Head and Deputy Head Groundskeepers in the supervision, maintenance and security of the ground. They will assist with the preparation of sports surfaces and help to ensure that all grassed and landscaped areas, pavilions and car park areas are well maintained, tidy and safe to use on match days. They will also assist with the maintenance and safe storage of machines and equipment.
Applicants should have a keen interest in groundskeeping and have the ability to learn and develop skills on the job. It would be an advantage to hold vocational qualifications or to have experience in gardening or groundskeeping. The role holder will need good time management and organisation skills and the ability to work under pressure.
